Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis, sometimes referred to as rheumatoid disease, is a chronic (long lasting), progressive and disabling autoimmune disease that causes inflammation (swelling) and pain in the joints, the tissue around the joints, and other organs in the human body. Rheumatoid arthritis usually affects the joints in the hands and feet first, but any joint may become affected. Patients with rheumatoid arthritis commonly have stiff joints and feel generally unwell and tired.

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease. Our immune system is a complex organization of cells and antibodies designed to seek out and destroy organisms and substances which harm us, such as infections. When our immune system starts attacking our own bodies, mistaking body tissues for foreign invaders, we have an autoimmune disease.

Individuals with an autoimmune disease have antibodies in their blood which target their own body tissues, resulting in inflammation. The immune system of a patient with rheumatoid arthritis attacks the lining of the joints, causing them to swell (become inflamed). As opposed to the wear-and-tear damage which occurs with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis affects the lining of the joints, resulting in painful swelling that can lead to bone erosion and joint deformity. Eventually the affected joints may become permanently damaged.

Rheumatoid arthritis is referred to as a systemic illness. Systemic means it affects the entire body; in the case of rheumatoid arthritis, multiple organs in the body can be affected. The patient may also have fevers and experience fatigue. Rheumatoid arthritis may also produce diffuse (spreading) inflammation in the lungs, the membrane around the lungs (pleura), pericardium (a double-walled sac that contains the heart and the roots of the great blood vessels) and the tough white outer coat over the eyeball (sclera); it can produce nodular lesions, most commonly in subcutaneous tissue under the skin.

EYE CARE

AMD and other leading cause of blindness in older adults
Seeing well when moving from light to dark declines with age.
AMD and other leading cause of blindness in older adults.
Carrots are high in beta-carotene. But beta-carotene alone is not protective enough.
Antioxidants and zinc, in the form of a nutritional supplement tablet, reduce the risk of advanced age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Fruits and vegetables - Vitamin C can help minimize cataracts and AMD.
Fleshy fish (tuna or salmon) and lean meats - Fatty acids protect against AMD.
Red meats and whole grains - Zinc deficiency can lead to cataracts.
Vegetable oil - Vitamin E can slow progression of AMD.

AMD is a painless eye condition that leads to gradual loss of central vision,
as it grows central vision becomes increasingly blurred and it leads to difficulty
in reading print recognise faces and driving cars etc.

Upon examination fatty deposits are seen beneath retina and slowly central part od retina
is destroyed. It is of two types wet and dry.Wet is more dangerousand can worsen
very quickly , if not treated. It grows when abnormal blood vessels grow under macula
and damage its cells.
Atherosclerosis

Atherosclerosis is where arteries become clogged by fatty molecules such as cholesterol. The fatty substances stick to the artery walls and form plaques or atheromas.

While it is not very clear exactly how arteries become clogged, we know that having high cholesterol is a risk factor, as is having high blood pressure, smoking, being overweight or obese, having diabetes, eating a high-fat diet, and lack of exercise.

The condition is potentially serious because as the plaque builds up, the arteries harden and narrow, restricting blood flow and supply of essential nutrients and oxygen to organs. Also, if a plaque bursts, it can cause a blood clot, blocking the blood supply to the heart (triggering heart attack) or brain (which can cause stroke). It is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease.
To reduce the risk from high cholesterol, patients can be prescribed certain cholesterol-lowering medications, such as statins.

Protein In Macrophages is a to Cholesterol Removal.Macrophages, important immune cells that removes fat like cholesterol.
Iodine deficiency is a major health problem

Iodine deficiency is a major health problem worldwide, It is a mineral found in iodized salt, seafood, eggs, dairy and some breads, is used by the thyroid gland to help regulate metabolism and development, especially in babies and children.

Its deficiency during fetal and early-childhood development is a leading cause of brain impairments in much of the world.

How much iodine is too much -400 micrograms a day and up -
causes hypothyroidism.

That refers to a dip in the body's thyroid hormone levels, but with no obvious symptoms of hypothyroidism -- which include problems like fatigue, depression, dry skin and weight gain.

Adults are advised to get 150 micrograms of iodine each day; pregnant women should get 220 micrograms, while breastfeeding moms are told to get 290 micrograms.

It is recommended that pregnant and breastfeeding women take a vitamin with iodine because low iodine can increase the risk of miscarriage and thyroid problems in moms, in addition to mental disabilities in babies.

Subclinical hypothyroidism has no obvious symptoms, but studies have linked it to an increased risk of heart disease over the long term.

Water

Drinking water is the simplest, cheapest and healthiest.
Chronic dehydration causes blood vessels to contract that making the heart work harder and lead to spikes blood.
Drink eight glasses water per day. But for a more personal approach, it can be adjusted to your body weight.

OATS

Annual herb, 50-170 cm high, family cereals.Grain oats contain proteins, essential amino acids, starch, fat, fiber, sugars, vitamins, etc.

Grain oats improves metabolism, the nervous and cardiovascular systems. Water extract of oat grass are taking a diuretic, diaphoretic and antipyretic, and alcoholic extract of green oats is taken as a tonic for exhaustion and mental fatigue, neurasthenia, insomnia, diabetes, with abstention from smoking.

Decoctions of grain is prescribed for fatigue, burn disease, viral hepatitis, gastritis, enterocolitis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcers with iron deficiency  & anemia.

Beet juice

Beets are a good source of potassium and folic acid, two substances that are important for regulating blood pressure. It is also contain nitrate, which is converted into nitrites when absorbed by body.
Nitrite efficacious creates muscle tissue to relax and reduce blood flow. Beets can naturally help support healthy blood vessel function and against homocysteine, which can damage vessels.

Low-fat milk  -   to reduce blood pressure

Calcium deficiency has long been associated with high blood pressure. A high intake of calcium may help lower hypertension. But keep in mind, it is very important to choose the right kind of milk for best results to get enough calcium. Modest amount of fat help you absorb calcium more easily. As part of the ritual healthy, three servings of low-fat milk shown to reduce systolic blood pressure.

Pomegranate juice

Pomegranate juice acts like natural ACE inhibitors, similar type of drug commonly prescribed to treat hypertension and heart failure.

In a case mentioned, pomegranate juice can reduce ACE by 36 percent and lowered systolic blood pressure as well. Some significant recent research shows the benefits of pomegranate to reduce arterial plaque up 30 percent and improving blood flow to heart.

ACE is an enzyme that increases blood pressure by creating a protein called angiotensin II.

FRUIT VIBGYOR

Fruits and vegetables are very important for our health because they are complete foods, created by nature, and also are very rich in natural ingredients.
1. Green

(Kale, Spinach, Melon, Kiwifruit, Green peas, Broccoli, Cabbage, Leafy Greens, Lettuce, Asparagus, Celery, Green Grapes, Green Onion…)

Green vegetables contain chlorophyll, fiber, lutein, zeaxanthin, calcium, vitamin C and beta-carotene. The ingredients found in these vegetables reduce cancer risk, purify the blood simulating blood transfusion, reduce harmful LDL cholesterol and blood pressure, also normalize the digestion time of food, support the eyesight, and put the immune system into full activity.

2.Red

(Red Raspberries, Watermelon, Strawberries, Cranberries, Red Apples, Beets, Red Beans, Sweet Cherries, Fresh Tomato, Kidney Beans, Red Cabbage)

Fruits and vegetables with red color contain ingredients as lycopene, ellagic acid, quercetin and hesperidin. These ingredients act preventively in the risk of prostate cancer, lower blood pressure, reduce the growth of existing tumors and LDL cholesterol. Also fight free radicals, and in cases of arthritis provide support in joint mobility.

3. Blue and Purple

(Dried Plums, Grapes, Pomegranates, Purple Cabbage, Purple Grapes, Purple peppers, Raisins, Eggplant, Black Currant, Blackberries, Blueberries…)

Fruits and vegetables with this color contains ingredients such as lutein, zeaxanthin, resveratrol, vitamin C, fiber, flavonoids, ellagic acid and quercetin. These ingredients help to maintain the healthy vision, reduce LDL cholesterol, maintain the highest level of defense the immune system, help to normal digestion, improves absorption of calcium and other minerals, fight inflammation, inhibit the growth of existing tumors but also act anti-carcinogen in the digestive tract, and limit the activity of cancer cells.
4. Orange and yellow

(Oranges, Lemons, Grapefruit, Carrots, Pumpkin, Sweet Potatoes, Peaches, Papayas, Yellow Apples, Sweet Corn, Yellow Peppers, Golden Kiwifruit…)

Fruits with these two colors contain beta-carotene, zeaxanthin, flavonoids, lycopene, vitamin C and potassium. These ingredients reduce eye problems in aging, the risk of prostate cancer, lower the blood pressure and LDL cholesterol levels, stimulating the formation of collagen, as well and healthy & mobile joints. Also, due to the large amount of powerful antioxidants, successfully deal with free radicals and premature aging, maintain the alkaline state of the body, as well as successful combination with calcium and magnesium in the health “construction” of bones and teeth.
5. White

(Bananas, Ginger, Garlic, Mushrooms, Onions, White Corn, White Peaches, Potatoes, Jicama, Parsnips…)

Contain ingredients such as beta-glucan EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate), SDG (Secoisolariciresinol diglucoside) and lignan, that are providing powerful immune system support. These ingredients also activate the natural killers for all that is dangerous for our body, B and T cells, reduce the risk of colon cancer (the most common cancer in men), breast cancer and prostate. They help to balance the levels of various hormones, and more importantly, reduce the risk of hormone-related tumors.
